Happy Halloween to all my readers!
I must admit, though I often have grand plans for a costume, I usually end up throwing something together at the last minute. Tonight, a certain national burrito chain is giving $2 boo-ritos for those in costume, so I can’t just skip it.
When my wife and I moved into this house from an apartment, we figured we’d finally start getting trick-or-treaters. We didn’t exactly count on how early it gets dark this time of year. We know there are kids around, but by the time either of us is home from work, we’re pretty sure most of them have passed us by. Last year we put out a bowl of candy before leaving for the day. Some of it did disappear before we got home, but most of disappeared… later… when there were only really two suspects.
So, tonight, I guess I’ll leave the lights off, and come home in the dark. I don’t have any candy to hand out, and my wife, who will no doubt make me feel the shame I deserve for not putting candy out, is in Tucson this week.
So, Happy Halloween, everyone.
